I dropped a car off in a nearby village, before I decided to come to the Malton Train Station Cafe.
Walking in the place had quite a few people, sipping tea. Almost immediately after walking over the threshold I could feel this was a “local” cafe for “local” people.
Because of the diet I am on, I thought that I had best stick to bacon. But treated myself to a fried egg also.
When Peter, the owner said that there would be a 15 minute wait I must admit I did think they might have to slaughter a pig at the back of the cafe and then get one of the hens to squeeze and egg out! Surely a bacon sandwich wouldn’t take that long?
I was definitely clock watching as my train arrival was getting closer! And panic was setting in!
Got to say though that the sandwich was one of the best I have ever had! Tasty, very tasty!
